FAMILIES are being urged to bring bottles and containers with them to the Wiltshire Chilli Fest so they can take home deliciously fresh pressed apple juice.
The apple press will be completely free of charge and situated behind the library on September 25th, alongside the circus workshop and sensory story tent.
The tasty and rare apples are being harvested from the ancient orchards situated at the Army Officer Selection Board at Leighton House, and then made available to press all day at the Wiltshire Chilli Fest on September 25th, from 1pm – 5pm.
The event will also feature a chilli market through the High Street, tasty hot food and a sangria bar on Edward Street and the Westbury Festival Stage at Sioussy Gardens where Tequila Mariachi, Jamba de Samma and the Cley Hill Stompers will be playing live.
A chilli eating competition featuring the UK Chilli Queen will start at 6PM. All entrants can register their bravery/stupidity at the town council tent on the day.
The Wiltshire Chilli Fest is being run by Westbury Town Council in association with Westbury Festival. All event enquiries can be sent to events@westburytowncouncil.gov.uk.
