A WILTSHIRE author will be giving a talk at Warminster Library on 1066 and the Norman Conquest as he promotes his new book ‘The Harrowing’.
On Saturday 3rd December at 2pm historian and author James Aitcheson will be discussing 1066 and the Norman Conquest – the most significant turning-point in British history – as he introduces his latest novel, The Harrowing, at Warminster Library. Named by The Times as the Book of the Month for July, the novel is the tale of five English refugees who band together for survival as they flee the devastation of their homeland during an especially brutal episode of the Conquest known as the Harrying of the North.
