A public meeting of the BA13+ Partnership, for anyone interested in arts, heritage and culture in the Westbury area is to be held on Wednesday 2nd July at the Laverton starting 7.30pm, with refreshments from 7.00pm.
Hosted by the BA13+ Partnership, the evening is to have an arts & culture theme. The always entertaining John Alderslade from the Village Pump Folk Festival, which has found a new permanent home in the White Horse Country Park, has agreed to come to give a talk.
Sabina Edwards (the librarian) will be giving a presentation and Sally Willox is coming along to speak about the team that aims to engage young people aged 11-19 in relation to arts and culture.
BA13+ Partnership is also pleased to be able to introduce Scott and Beccy from the IronWorks initiative. The aim of the IronWorks project was to explore imaginative ways of revealing local identity to the new community at Lakeside View, aiming to demonstrate the richness of Westbury, what makes the place distinctive, particularly that of its people and how they are attached to the place.
Everyone is welcome to attend, there is no charge for admission.
