THE Memorial Theatre has an exciting festive line-up in the run up to Christmas, so make sure you have these dates in your diary.
The Fun Quiz Night at The Assembly Rooms returns on Friday 18th November. Food available to order for the interval and bar open throughout the evening. Prizes for 1st and 2nd placed teams. Teams of four maximum. £10 per team with all proceeds going to the theatre boiler fund.
Then get into the festive spirit with Brit-Award winning vocalists Blake. Their celebrated Christmas show, Christmas with Blake features festive songs in beautiful trio harmony, video projections and the group’s famous fast-paced comedy banter.
During this two-hour stage spectacular, Blake perform an eclectic range of Yuletide songs, taken from their debut Christmas album available now. Since the group formed in 2007, Blake has become a regular fixture on the UK Christmas TV schedules, including festive song performances on BBC Breakfast, This Morning, The One Show, Alan Titchmarsh Show and Songs of Praise.
Combining their spectacular Christmas album with this festive tour show, Blake hopes to fill theatres to the brim with Yuletide cheer. Programme subject to change. Tickets cost £22, £20 for over 60s and under 16s.
It’s that time again ladies! Back by popular demand, in association with Davina Sparkle Ltd, Ladies Night with Showstrippers returns to the Assembly Rooms on Friday 2nd December.
Hosted this year by Drag Queen Fanny Burns, a larger than life character, who loves a bit of audience participation and will have you in stitches from the word go. Escorting Ms Burns will be two drop dead gorgeous hunks brought to you by Showstrippers – Zeus and Enigma. Themed cocktails and food will be available. Tickets cost £13.00.
Then on Friday 9th December, Elkie Brooks brings her UK tour to Frome. Quite simply, she is one of the most successful and popular singers the UK has ever produced. Now in the fifth decade of her career, she is still proving to be one of the most powerful and versatile vocal talents of our generation. With numerous hit singles, million selling albums and awards, her annual tours are treat for fans old and new.
Performing some of her classic hits, blues and jazz, an electric evening with Elkie is guaranteed to leave you begging for more.
