BLUE Circle Bowls Club in Westbury is holding two open days to recruit new members.
The sessions at the White Horse Country Park-based club are on Sunday 30th May, 2pm to 5pm, and Monday 31st May, 11am to 2pm, are open to all ages, gender and ability.
Club secretary, Karen Kirby, said, “They are designed as taster sessions for people to try out the sport and meet some of the club members, and we will have coaches in attendance on both days. We will provide all equipment that is required. All that we ask is that flat soled shoes or trainers are worn.”
The club welcomes both playing and non-playing (social) members. The men currently have teams in both the Wiltshire 3 Rink League and the Mid Wilts Triples League. The ladies have teams in the Norwest League and Sedial League. There is also have a team in North Wilts Monday Mixed League. Members can play in county competitions throughout the season and local tournaments. The club also arranges mixed friendly and ladies friendly games and annual club competitions.
