BRATTON Community Brass Bands are preparing for a busy December, offering a variety of festive events for the community. The group is inviting the public to join them for their upcoming Christmas concerts and seasonal activities.
The festive season kicks off with The Tailor of Gloucester, a Christmas-themed concert performed by Bratton Silver Band. Inspired by Beatrix Potter’s classic tale, the concert combines storytelling with brass music to create a magical experience for all ages. The performance will take place on Friday 6th December at 7.30pm at The Laverton.
Lucy Scott, engagement officer for the band, said, “Join the band for a concert of heart-warming music, storytelling and holiday cheer, perfect to embrace the holiday season.”
Later in the month, the band will be in Bratton for A Brass Yuletide – Christmas Concert at Jubilee Hall on Sunday 22nd December at 2.30pm. The concert promises traditional brass band music celebrating the spirit of Christmas.
The festive spirit will continue throughout the village as Brass Roots, the band’s beginner and intermediate players, will be carolling around Bratton on Monday evenings—9th, 16th, and 23rd December. In addition, the Silver Band will perform at the St James’ Church Carol Service on the evening of 22nd December.
Tickets for the concerts are free but must be booked in advance. Reservations can be made online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/bratton-community-brass-bands, or by calling 07968 314 183 for those without internet access.
