Pupils at Bratton Primary School celebrated their teachers on Wednesday 18th June as part of National Thank a Teacher Day – a nationwide event recognising teachers in schools and colleges across the country.
School admin officer, Louise Bunce, said, “We are so thankful to have such dedicated and amazing teachers at Bratton Primary School, who go above and beyond every day to enrich the children’s lives.
“One example was an adventurous and imaginative day for our Grasshopper Class. The class ‘took to the skies’ during an interactive lesson and flew all the way to fabulous Sicily, using their imaginations throughout the journey!
“In-flight entertainment featured fascinating facts and stories about the stunning island of Sicily, and the children enjoyed a delicious selection of traditional Italian dishes, kindly prepared by the school kitchen.
“But the adventure didn’t end there! The children then unleashed their creativity by writing their own brochures about Sicily – a perfect way to capture and share their experience.
“A special thank you to the class staff for really getting into character – the children loved seeing you dressed as pilots and air hostesses!”
