BRATTON village has raised £1,844 for this year’s Poppy Appeal through house-to-house collections and donation boxes.
Chairman of the Bratton branch of The Royal British Legion, Mike O’Donoghue said, “I am delighted to say that the amount collected from this year’s house-to-house collection, together with the boxes in Bratton School, Central Stores, Pickleberry Coffee & Gift Shop, The Duke and our two churches in the village, amounted to £1,797.98 or £1,844.23 with GiftAid.
“This is a great sum and on behalf of the Bratton branch I would like to thank all in the village for their generosity and support, as well as thanking our Poppy Appeal collectors who braved the appalling weather on the Saturday to make the collection.”
