BRATTON Silver Band competed in two competitions in March, finishing second in their section at the Oxford and District Area Brass Band Association contest held in Banbury, and 7th out of 16 bands at the West of England Area Championships in Torquay.
Members are now rehearsing new music for their forthcoming engagements; the first being the village coronation picnic lunch on Sunday 7th May at 1pm on the Village Green, followed by a concert at All Saints’ Parish Church in Westbury on Saturday 13th May at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £10 in advance for the All Saints concert and £12 on the door with under 16s going free. Tickets are available by searching Bratton Silver Band on Eventbrite or by calling Sue on 07974 707 162.
There are no tickets for the village coronation picnic lunch – people can just turn up on the day with their own picnic and a blanket.
