Eric and Anne Pelling, founders of care company Butterfly, are holding a special tea party for those they enable to stay in their own homes.
Each year, the couple stage two cream tea events allowing their clients from Bath and Wiltshire to meet each other and share a social experience. The couple even arrange transport for those who wish to attend but don’t have access to a car.
All the food is provided by Anne herself, who is an accomplished baker and cake maker.
She said, “We feel this is an opportunity for our clients to get out, to meet each other, form new friendships and really understand there are others who need support in their own homes too – and that’s okay.
“For us at Butterfly, it’s a wonderful way to celebrate our work and to create an enjoyable tea party for everyone.”
Butterfly was created by Anne and Eric Pelling eight years ago in Bath and they expanded the business into Wiltshire during 2013.
The couple insist on high standards of care where carers must be reliable, punctual, have genuine empathy and be trustworthy and honest. Butterfly carers will go the extra mile to support clients – this ranges from a high level of personal care through to doing housework, shopping, ironing or just being a listening ear if someone’s had a bad day. They are on call between the hours of 7.00am and 10.00pm every day.
This spring tea party is being held on Saturday 11th April at the Weston Free Church (Moravian), High Street, Bath.
Butterfly is registered with, and inspected by, the Care Quality Commission which is responsible for regulating health and social care providers in England. The company is also able to work with people in receipt of Direct Payments for their care.
