Candlelight Care in Westbury took part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising over £140 for the charity.
The event was held at Candlelight Care’s office on Station Road and was also an opportunity to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. The cakes on sale had been baked by staff members, who sold them at £1 a slice with a cup of tea or coffee. It was a joint event with Candlelight Care’s Sherborne branch, and raised a grand total of £140.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Lorna Kent, manager of Candlelight Care in Westbury said, “The Macmillan coffee event is a regular part of our fundraising calendar, and we are delighted to have raised over £140. I would like to thank everyone who attended and gave so generously, and our wonderful staff who baked the cakes, for supporting this wonderful cause.”
