WHITE Horse Country Park is to present the White Horse Festival 2018, which will host live music, classic cars, group performances and an Oscars Reunion disco to the theme of ‘80s 2 now!’
Over the bank holiday weekend of Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August, join in a weekend of cars, crafts, dancing, singing and competition. There will be activities for children such as fairground rides, bouncy castles, face painting and train rides.
On Saturday 25th August, gates open at 2pm where you can walk around craft stalls and enjoy finding out about the classic cars on show including MGs, Jaguars, Minis, Marcos and more. At 2.30pm Westbury Rugby will be holding a tug-of-war competition, so join in if you’re feeling strong.
Then the live group performances begin with Infinity Dance Troupe at 4pm, Steeple Rocks choir at 4.45pm, live band Peaky Blinders at 6pm, another performance from Infinity dance troupe at 7.15pm, before the evening’s main event, the ‘Oscars Reunion Disco with Neil Hawker and Warren Smith,’ playing music to take you back to those days of the Oscars nightclub, themed from the 1980s to now!
On Sunday 26th August, gates open again at 2pm. At 3pm there will be an unsigned acoustic showcase competition where acts will compete for prizes. The winning act will receive a 1st place trophy, paid placement on the main bill of artistes at next year’s festival, a Shure SM58 microphone courtesy of Sounds of Frome, three 2-hour free studio rehearsal sessions courtesy of Crest Studios, a £100 in-store gift voucher courtesy of GuitarBitz, plus a promotional write-up and interview, which will be published on all White Horse Festival forums. Prizes are also available for second place and third position.
Then at 5.15pm five live bands will be performing; Fusion, Panama, AFK, soul strutters with this year’s headline essential ‘Duran Duran’, who will play until the closing of the festival at 12am. Throughout the weekend, there will be a licensed bar selling beer, lager and cider, shorts, soft drinks and wine. They will be available to take anywhere around the site.

Tickets are £10 for 1-day ticket or £15 for a 2-day ticket if bought before 31st July. If bought afterwards, prices increase to £15 for 1-day and £20 for 2-days. There is camping available at this event for £10 per night, per pitch.
Children under 14 are free when accompanied by an adult. Pre-book wristbands are available for collection upon arrival. No dogs are allowed on site, except assistance dogs.
