After a year of fundraising and a generous donation from a local trust, Chapmanslade School PTFA have installed a new 32m-long play trail on the school playing field.
The school’s PTFA said, “The Fudge Trust in Warminster very kindly donated £2,500 towards the trail which meant that it could be installed in September. We held fundraising events such as school discos, fêtes and fayres, a pub night, Mother’s and Father’s Day gift shops and sold ice creams with the Play Trail being the focus of our efforts.”
Berkeley Basinger-Adams, Chapmanslade School’s headteacher said, “All the children are thrilled with our brand new playtrail and regularly enjoy the challenges and opportunities for creative play that the playtrail provides.
“It is wonderful to see the children at playtimes supporting each other with the challenges and developing their co-operation and social skills, whilst having great fun together.”
The school PTFA would like to thank The Fudge Trust for adding to their funds; without their generosity the children would have been waiting a lot longer for their equipment.
