FOLLOWING an urgent appeal, a service providing necessary transport for village residents in need, has recruited more drivers.
The Four Villages Link charity appealed for volunteers to help with its work of taking those in need in Ethandune (Bratton, Edington, Coulston and Erlestoke) to, for example, The White Horse Health Centre, the local surgery, local hospitals, and dental appointments.
All drivers are equipped with PPE and the team endeavours to be Covid-safe and can also offer support with shopping or small jobs, where possible.
A spokesperson said, “If we can’t help, we probably know someone who can!”

The voluntary group offers transport and good neighbour services to local people in need – for example, the elderly, single parents or those temporarily in need because of illness.
These essential services provide a safety net for those unable to access services in other ways.
