A LOCAL charity worker who is registered blind says a recent accident won’t stop her from continuing her efforts.
Michelle Bateman, of Silbury Close, broke her lower back and wrist after falling backwards on the floor in her bedroom. Her wrist is in a cast and she is taking pain medication for her back.
Michelle is wheelchair-bound because she is unsteady on her feet.
Her friend Helen Davies told White Horse News, “Michelle has done so many things for charity for over 20 years she said this accident won’t stop her from doing things for charity. She is planning donating toys for local schools for Christmas 2021.
“She buys children’s toys with money she makes selling items she sells on eBay and Facebook and she enjoys doing Christmas shoe boxes every year for children abroad. She has other plans raising money for different charities.”
