A variety of free activities for children will be on offer at Westbury Library this summer.
The Reading Agency’s Summer Reading Challenge has already begun at libraries in Wiltshire for four- to 11-year-olds. The challenge will run until Saturday 5th September.
“Collect stickers and rewards as you read and have fun,” said a spokesperson.
On Monday 27th July at 2.30pm, bestselling author Tom Palmer will be at the library for a meet the author event. Tom has written over 70 children’s books about history, spies and sport. The event is free to attend, but spaces must be booked by calling Westbury Library on 01373 822294.
On Thursday 13th August and Monday 17th August between 10am and 11am, the library will run drop-in craft and play sessions at the Westbury Community Project on Eden Vale Road. No booking is required to attend these drop-in events.
