Schoolchildren across the area are invited to get creative for the Mayor’s Christmas Card competition and, new for this year, Snowflake competition, which the town council say will be a great activity for the upcoming school half term.
Christmas Card
Competition
Three lucky winners will be picked for a £25 prize. One overall winner will also have their expertly-crafted design printed into this year’s Mayoral Christmas card. They will also get to turn on the Westbury Christmas Lights in a special Christmas video! You can request an entry form from info@westburytowncouncil.gov.uk.
Snowflake Competition
This year will see the first ever Snowflake competition, where residents across the town will be asked to make their best snowflake and place it in their window.
Westbury Town Council say, “There’s a brilliant video available on the Westbury Town Council Facebook page if you want to learn how to make one. If you are already an expert ‘snowflaker’, then share an image of your snowflake and tag Westbury Town Council on Facebook, or send a picture with your name, age and address by post to; Snowflake Competition, The Laverton, Bratton Road, Westbury. “This competition is very much open to adults too; we are spreading the fun around! Good luck and remember, all entries for both competitions must be submitted by November 6th.”
