THE ninth annual ‘Christmas in Westbury’ programme will kick off later this month with the Christmas Street Fayre and lights switch-on event.
The switch-on will be combined with a day packed with activities in the town centre and Market Place, running from 10am – 9pm on Saturday 22nd November. There will be a funfair, reindeer, inflatables, street entertainers, live music, dancing, and much more.
The Christmas Lights event will begin at 5.30pm in the High Street, for the switch-on at 6.30pm. Father Christmas will be visiting with mince pies and mulled wine.
There will be free car parking in the town all day, and further details will be published in the ‘Christmas in Westbury’ booklet, due to be delivered to every home by mid-November.
Other festive events include:
• Christmas Card Exhibition and Model Competition on Saturday 8th November at The Laverton from 2.30-4pm. Judging will take place between 3 and 3.30pm. FREE ENTRY.
• Christmas Tree Festival from 11th-14th December at All Saints Church.
• Children’s Christmas Party on Saturday 13th December from 1-4pm at Leighton Recreation Centre.
