Westbury is getting ready to kick off the festive season in style, with the town’s Christmas Lights Switch-On taking place on Saturday 28th November.
Organised by Westbury Town Council, the festivities will build throughout the day, with the Christmas Market on the High Street, fairground rides, street food and entertainment.
Families can also head behind the library for a Winter Wonderland, featuring Santa’s Grotto and a petting farm.
The line-up of entertainment also includes a variety of street performers, including the Ice Queen, children’s entertainer Dave Hickory and the SASS Fire Show. An illuminated parade from the Wiltshire Caledonian Pipes and Drums will also take place.
Then, at 6pm, The Hammervilles will headline the Christmas Lights Switch-On, helping Westbury officially welcome the festive season.
Tracey Morris, event coordinator for Westbury Town Council, said, “This year’s Christmas Lights Switch-On is set to be a fantastic celebration for residents and visitors alike.
“So, save the date – Saturday 28th November – and come along to Westbury for an evening of Christmas magic, community spirit and festive fun.”
More details, including the full programme and timings, will be announced soon.
