LAST year members of the Westbury Methodist Church raised £500 for Alzheimer’s Support by serving home-made soup and pud lunches on the first Friday of each month and organisers have confirmed this will take place again in September.
Soup and Pud organisers say, “We will be starting this popular event again with the first lunch being held on Friday 8th September and thereafter on the first Friday of each month. We endeavour to serve at least three different types of soups and puddings, all home-made, followed by cheese and biscuits and tea/coffee.
“We do not charge a set amount but ask for donations and split all profits between the church with the biggest share going to our chosen charity, which again will be local Alzheimer’s Support groups. Do join us for lunch – we will be serving between 12pm and 1.30pm.”
