WESTBURY’S community engagement manager, Liam Cripps, would like Westbury to join in with a nationwide campaign, ‘Clean for The Queen’.
‘Clean for The Queen’ is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for The Queen’s 90th birthday in 2016. Volunteers across the country will clean up their local areas in the run up to The Queen’s birthday with a special clean-up in March.
Liam said, “I would like to see the Westbury community area taking part in this clean up project. Anyone can get involved; schools, sport clubs, social groups, church groups, local business, families, individuals, town and parish council.
“Sadly litter is an issue that affects all of us but together we can make a difference and take pride in where we live, work and play.
“If you would be interested in volunteering then please email me: liam.cripps@wiltshire.gov.uk and for more information, follow me on Twitter @Westburycem.”
