THE Phone Box Gallery in the Market Place has new artwork, with the title Cloudy Skies, thanks to pupils from Westbury Leigh Primary School.
Year 3 and Year 4 pupils created cloud paintings and one pupil Henry, who created a cloud monoprint, said, “It was fun! I enjoyed how it worked.”
Another pupil, Elodie, added, “I found it interesting, and I also found it really fun. It got easier as we did it.”
Mrs McDermott, the school’s resident artist explained, “Art lessons at our school inspire young artists with the opportunity to express themselves, explore skills and experiment with different mediums and techniques. An exhibition is a great way to celebrate this valuable aspect of learning and their incredible paintings they have produced.”
Westbury Town Council adopted the red ‘K6’ kiosk phone box in the Market Place in 2018 and converted it into a gallery.
