THE Railway Inn is hosting another comedy night on Thursday 14th February, with promoters Smiley Spaces, introducing three headline performers.
The show features award-winner comedian and actor Dave Johns, who played the character Daniel Blake in the P’alm D’or winning movie ‘I Daniel blake’. He will be joined by David Tsonos, and Maureen Younger from Canada.
Smiley Spaces Comedy Club is a family-run business set up by Andy Askins and his wife Julie. They say, “Running comedy nights was always an ambition of ours and we wanted our audiences to experience live comedy at its best. We are delighted but not surprised with the reaction so far. Normally to see comedy this good you would have to be sat in the audience at somewhere like ‘The Comedy Store’ in London or ‘The Glee’ in Birmingham. Several shows have been programmed for 2019 and the Railway Inn can expect to see some familiar faces from TV.
“Later in the year we have Chris McCauseland from ‘Live at the Apollo’ and there are plenty more in the pipeline. Andy is himself a comedian and has appeared on TV alongside a galaxy of stars including Olly Murrs and Kylie Minogue on “The John Bishop Show”, “The John Bishop Christmas Special” BBC1, ‘Live at the Comedy Store” and “The World Stands Up” and he has been everywhere from the Royal Albert Hall, to forward operating bases in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Railway Inn is a smashing intimate venue and tickets are strictly limited. So please get your ticket well in advance to avoid disappointment.”
The doors open at 7.30pm with the show begins at 8.15pm. Tickets are £11.25 including online booking fee from www.skiddle.com or available direct from The Railway Inn or £12 on the door on the night, but book to avoid disappointment.
