During the school holidays, Westbury Area Churches Together worked alongside Spurgeons children’s charity, Sovereign Housing and the BA13 Partnership to share activities and fun for all ages in Dilton Marsh and in Oldfield Park in Westbury.
Games, a bouncy castle, face painting, and crafts were provided, along with some sporting fun from Active Trowbridge and crafts and information offered by Guiding UK and Wessex Water.
Grants had kindly been given to help towards the cost of the event which meant the activities were completely free for those who attended. Also, cakes were baked by church members for the refreshment tent. The events were about giving back a little of God’s love to the community.
