LOCAL residents have expressed concern about three ponies living on private land near Westbury.
Residents have been in touch with the White Horse News, concerned over the conditions of the land at Ludborne Place in Westbury Leigh.
The land is an empty building site with rubble scattered around the small area where the ponies have to graze. Water and hay has been provided, however it is unsure whether this is by the owners of the ponies or concerned residents.
A spokesperson from the RSPCA has said, “We are aware of the ponies, our officers have gone out to see them. There may be residual chemicals on the land and although the field isn’t ideal, we have spoken to the owners and the situation is under control.”
They say that due to regulations, they would advise people not to give the ponies food or water.
