WESTBURY & District Cricket Club is preparing to return to training following the easing of lockdown restrictions.
Training and friendly games are set to resume in April, youth training is set for a return in May, and league matches are scheduled for a May comeback.
Chairman of the club, Neil Hawker said, “As volunteers running the Westbury & District Cricket Club, the committee is delighted our hard work through the Covid-19 lockdowns is being rewarded with so many kids and adults signing up for the new season.
“The lifting of restrictions allows the club to safely let training and friendly games start this month [April].
“And the youth training for All Stars and Dynamos will begin from 7th May here at the fabulous Leighton Sports Ground in Westbury the week after the first League matches for the senior men’s and women’s teams start.
“It will be wonderful to see the ground being used again in a socially-distanced and respectful way.”
