Preparations for this year’s Dilton Marsh Flower and Handicraft Show are under way.
The show will take place on Saturday 25th July at Dilton Memorial Hall.
Classes for this year’s show include fruit and vegetables, flowers, floral art, cookery and preserves, handicrafts, photography and a group display. There is also a class for those under the age of 16 which include crafts, paper plate animals for children aged five and under, a fruit and vegetable animal, bookmarks decorated using natural materials and close-up photographs.
“A much-loved and long-running village tradition, the show features a wide range of classes designed to appeal to gardeners, bakers and crafters of all ages and abilities,” said organisers. “The committee hopes to inspire early preparation by sharing the full list of classes on its Facebook page, giving entrants plenty of time to start sowing seeds, crafting and baking.
“Entry as an exhibitor to the show is open to residents of Dilton Marsh, as well as non-residents who are members of a Dilton Marsh village organisation.”
The show opens to the public at 2pm with prize-giving starting at 3pm. Refreshments will be available and there will be a small auction of selected produce and baked goods.
