DILTON Marsh Primary School’s 4th annual family Scarecrow Trail will take place this weekend and there’s still time to take part.
The event is getting more and more popular every year and this year’s theme is Disney.
The Scarecrow Trail will run from Saturday 27th May to Monday 29th May. People from the village make a scarecrow to stand somewhere in the village – outside their house or even looking out of a window.
The challenge will be to find and record every scarecrow in the village. Scarecrow Trail sheets will be sold for £3 per family. There will be a prize for the people’s favourite scarecrow and for the most scarecrows guessed. If more than one person gets them all correct, the winner will be pulled out of a hat.
Pauline Froggatt from the school PTA said, “It’s always a wonderful weekend with lots of families taking part. The money raised from the trail will go towards buying outdoor play equipment for the school.
“We hope to see lots of people walking around the village over the weekend and fingers crossed for good weather.”
You can pick up a trail form from Dilton Marsh School office, Crowning Glory hairdressers and Fairfield Farm College cafe. Once you have completed the trail, return the form back to where you picked the forms up from.
