Volunteers are needed to help run the Dilton Memorial Hall.
The venue, in Dilton Marsh, hosts community events, fundraisers and – most recently – a ‘Big Breakfast’ which fed 50 people.
However there are just three trustees remaining on the team who run the Memorial Hall and more help is needed to ensure the hall stays a vital part of the community.
An AGM will be held on Wednesday 30th April at 7pm with any local people welcome to attend.
Kathy Hutt said, “This is your chance to influence how your hall is run and offer your support. We are now down to three trustees and desperately need a new treasurer so please come forward if you can offer to help.”
Future events at the Dilton Memorial Hall include a quiz with pie and a pudding on Friday 2nd May and an 80th anniversary VE Day celebration with afternoon tea and entertainment from Sandy Ince on Sunday 18th May.
The Westbury Festival will also use the hall as a venue for a live performance of “Where is Mrs Christie” in July.
Kathy added, “All of these events are organised and run by volunteers who are working really hard to keep the hall going for our community. Any profits will go towards improvements. If you can help in any way, we’d love to hear from you.”
