Cinderford picked up their first points of the season after a turgid, scrappy match which was marred by indiscipline in the away dugout.
A slow start showed how much of the match would go. Jonny Hill had to be alert to deny Marley Thomas after 15 minutes.
The best move of the match led to Westbury opening the scoring on 22 when quick passing between Bevan Cross, Joe Beardwell and Marcel Lewis led to Will Taylor striking powerfully with his left foot.
Visiting keeper Joel Manning saved Ed Butcher’s shot then at the other end Andy Lewis headed wide and had an effort blocked.
Hill saved Marley Thomas’ shot then Taylor came within inches of scoring again just before the break, however the visitors broke and Adam Davies equalised with a stunning long-range shot.
The second half was more stop than start, with Cinderford time wasting at every possible opportunity, while several of their management were carded by the referee.
United had a few chances to go ahead again, Manning denied Bevan Cross and Steve Hulbert.
The winning goal on 82 was out of character with what had gone before. Josh Keeping outpaced his marker and hit a great low left footer into the net.
