ALZHEIMER’S Society’s support groups offer a space to talk in a safe environment about your experiences of caring for someone with dementia.
They say, “The group provides an opportunity to share information, provide coping strategies, give and receive advice and support with other carers. Please come along. We really look forward to seeing you at our next support group.
“The next meeting will be held at White Horse Health Centre, Mane Way BA13 3FQ on Friday 19th July at 10.30am – 12.00pm; for carers only – so you can speak freely.
“This month’s topic is eating and drinking
“The facilitator is Sarah Thomson – dementia support worker, Alzheimer’s Society, tel: 01249 – 443 469 for more information or just show up on the day
“Peer support groups are informal but structured groups. The groups offer carers an opportunity to share their experiences of dementia in a safe non-clinical environment. You will be able to ask questions, receive information and share your perceptions of living with dementia.”
