A tale as old as time, this enchanting production is very much a pantomime with all the usual characters and slapstick fun with a large cast, bright costumes, fabulous set and lighting and wonderful live music. Come and see if Belle manages to keep the unwanted attentions of Gustave at bay and finds it in her heart to love the Beast before the last rose dies.
Cast member Dan Bolton, who plays baddy Lothario Gustave, told Frome Times, “After weeks of rehearsals, we are really looking forward to presenting the show to an audience now. Interacting with the audience, hearing them boo and laugh is brilliant fun.
“I’m excited about getting into costume as that’s when I really feel like my character. Favourite moments for me are the quick exchanges I have with Belle’s sisters – I’m pretty mean to them! Audiences will enjoy a fresh, fun, vibrant take on the classic fairy tale.”
