Edington turned back the clock to the 60s and 70s for its annual fair earlier this month.
Chair of the Edington Fair, Liz Pike reports, “Flowers abounded, hippies mingled with mini skirts, Pete Lamb and the Heartbeats took us back musically, while charismatic Dee Dee Wilde from Pan’s People entertained the crowds with her dance group, encouraging all to join in with her.
“Other entertainment was provided by Holy Trinity School Cheverell’s talented handbell ringers and Bratton School, who gave a polished display of maypole dancing. Villager Geoff Lupton was kept busy making balloon animals. All the stalls did a brisk trade, aided by the glorious sunshine.”
