WITH Halloween just around the corner, why not get a head start on your pumpkin carving at Edington Parish Hall’s Pumpkin Day?
The Pumpkin Day will be this Saturday 25th October from 12-2pm at the parish hall. There will be children’s activities, lunches of soup and sweet with a pumpkin twist, a conker competition, and pumpkin competitions.
Judging for the pumpkin competition will be in the following categories: • Largest home-grown • Smallest home-grown • Best decorated • Best carved • Best cookery using pumpkin ingredients • Best sweet dish • Best savoury dish • Most unusual dish • Best preserve
All entries must be taken to the hall before 11.00am for judging.
