A CHRISTMAS concert held at the Edington Priory Church by The Philomel Singers has raised £350 for Cancer Research UK.
Fiona Wood, secretary of The Philomel Singers said, “Following their Christmas concert in Edington Priory Church in aid of Cancer Research UK, female voice choir The Philomel Singers are delighted to have donated £350 to the charity.
“The concert was a great success with appearances by the Wiltshire Violin Virtuosi and a percussion ensemble.
“The local choir, who perform three or four concerts a year in aid of charities, have now raised well over £35,000 since their formation in 1989.” More details can be found on www. philomeltrowbridge. co.uk.
