THE first ever Dilton Dash will take place on Sunday 15th May, with money being donated to local Dilton Marsh charities.
There will be a 10k run and a 3k run which will start and finish at Dilton Marsh playing fields. The 10k race is open to runners over the age of 16 years on the day of the race. The 3k race is open to all, but under 10s must be accompanied by an adult.
Tracey Hyde co-founder of Redfish Events who is organising the event said, “The route is multi terrain, consisting of footpaths, tracks and a little bit of road. The 10k race starts at 10.30am and the 3k race starts at 10.45am.
“Places are limited to 250 places, so please book early. Race entries are open until 8th May, or will close earlier if the race limit is reached. There will be no entries on the day.
“There will be toilets on site and refreshments will be available to purchase. There will be a water station half-way round for the runners. We have first aid cover and are fully insured.
“Registration is from 9am. The 10k entrance fee is £14, aged 16 + and 3k entrance fee is £6.
“We are also planning a Curry & Auction Night and the proceeds from the auction will be going to two fantastic causes The Fire Fighters Charity and The Wiltshire Air Ambulance. To give you an idea of some of the auction prizes, we have a signed football from Manchester United Football Club, a voucher for Wendy’s Hairdressers in Westbury, one night B&B in The Marriott Hotel, College Green in Bristol and a voucher from Not Just Nails by Sarah in Westbury.”
