THIS year’s Westbury Transport and Vintage Gathering will take place over the weekend of Saturday 28th and 29th April and the organisers invite owners to join in and exhibit their vintage vehicle, engine or machinery.
Organisers Will and Keith Miller said, “Once again we would be delighted if you would join us for our 24th annual Transport and Vintage Gathering. It is your participation that makes the event a friendly and enjoyable success.
“As in previous years, the Gathering will take place at Top Field, Flowers Farm, Bratton, near Westbury, BA13 4TT. This is situated on the B3098, which is the Bratton to Westbury Road, just ½ a mile to the west of Bratton village in the direction of Westbury, under the Westbury White Horse.
“The dates of the Gathering are Saturday April 28th and Sunday April 29th. There is free camping for exhibitors who can arrive on Friday 27th April and depart on Monday 30th, if that helps.
“Invitations are extended to all groups of classic and vintage vehicles and machinery, including cars, trucks, coaches, motor cycles, fire engines, stationary engines, tractors, agricultural and military items, crafts, collections, models etc. etc. All are welcome.
“Please remember that it is essential for you to be covered by a valid road traffic act or third party liability insurance. This is a condition of entry to the field since you could be held liable to compensate for any untoward accidents which may be judged to arise from any mishap deriving from your exhibit or stall or their operation. You may be asked to produce your valid documents. It is very important that we all take health and safety issues very seriously.
“If you have any queries or suggestions regarding the Gathering, or for an entry form, please contact us on either 01373 864166 or 07516599179. Please return completed entry form as soon as possible. Please also feel free to photocopy the form for any of your friends who might like to join us. It will also be possible to enter on the day. You will be most welcome.
“Here’s wishing us all, the best rally season ever.”
