A Westbury woman and her three daughters are walking 100 miles around the town throughout June to raise money for mental health charity Mind.
Rebecca Hardwick and her daughters Hope, aged ten, Rosie, aged seven and Phoebe, aged four, are aiming to walk 3.3 miles a day on average to reach their target.
“We wanted to raise money for Mind to ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone,” said Rebecca. “We have known so many people who have personally experienced mental health crisis and so for all of our family it is a deeply personal cause.
“The girls were really keen to take on this challenge to show that mental health can also impact children and how important it is that anyone of any age has free access to support.
“Mind has specialised support helplines, offers counselling and lobbies the government to keep mental health on top of the political agenda.”
