WESTBURY families dressed up for a festive fun run at the recreation centre last month.
44 people in Santa hats turned out on a chilly December morning to take on the 3km course at Leighton Recreation Centre.
Local organisers Redfish Events – run by Tracey Hyde and Adam Firks from Dilton Marsh – will donate profits from the race to Westbury Lions Club.
Tracey said, “The day went really well and we had a lot more people turn up than I was expecting. It’s only our second event and we took in on at quite short notice, so I’m happy it was a success.
“The weather was nice and dry and everyone looked great in their hats. It was a real family affair, and people told us they enjoyed themselves. We’re hoping to be able to donate £100 to the Lions.
“We’d definitely like to do it again bigger and better next year!”
