NEW sessions where people of any age can meet and enjoy tea and cake have started at Dilton Marsh Holy Trinity Church.
The Soul Space sessions are the new version of the pre-lockdown tea and cake gatherings.
Tess Brocksopp, lay pastoral assistant, said, “We provide a warm and friendly meeting place and welcome people from our local community for tea, coffee and homemade cakes.
“Our volunteer hosts, who have had safeguarding training, are always on hand to chat and for a listening ear if needed. We also have a variety of board games, puzzles, colouring books and crafts for visitors to use.
“Our first two weeks saw a good number of villagers and some from further afield, with ages ranging from one to 90 years.
“The church is open for Soul Space every Monday from 2pm to 4pm. Do call in and join us, everyone is very welcome. There is no charge. We look forward to seeing you.”
