Dilton Marsh is gearing up for its annual Flower and Handicraft Show, a community event taking place on Saturday 26th July.
Residents and members of local organisations are encouraged to get involved by entering flowers, photography, vegetables and even decorated tea towels.
Angie Gibbs, chair of the Dilton Marsh Flower and Handicraft Show, said, “The public can view the show from 2pm, followed by the prize giving at 3pm. After that, we will hold an auction of produce where you can bid a few pounds for homegrown and home-baked goods.
“Exhibitors have until midnight on 22nd July to enter. Please note, entrants must be residents of Dilton Marsh or members of a local Dilton Marsh organisation.
“There are numerous classes suited to all abilities and ages, for men, women, and children.
“All exhibitors need a hard copy of the show schedule, available from Dilton Memorial Hall, Holy Trinity Church, Golden Wok and Chips, Dilton Primary School, and The Weavers. Thanks to these venues and the many wonderful local businesses supporting the show — their details are included in the schedule and on our Facebook page.
“We also have blank tea towels available for £1.30 if you’d like to enter the handicraft class ‘Decorated Tea Towel.’ You can decorate it however you like — just contact us to get yours.
“We look forward to seeing you and your exhibits.”
