LOCAL charity, Crosspoint, is encouraging people to take advantage of their free debt advice service.
Crosspoint is working with Community Money Advice (CMA), a national debt charity, to provide help and advice for local people. The service is free and confidential, and all contact will be face to face with volunteers based at Crosspoint.
Chairman of Crosspoint, Kevin Fairman, says, “Do you have a family member or friend who is currently experiencing problems with debt? If yes, our trained Money Mentors at Crosspoint may be able to help them.
“We work in partnership with the national charity, CMA, to provide a local debt advice service. They will work with the person to understand their financial position and then to make them aware of practical options open to them.
“If you would like to discuss this with someone, then please either email us on info@crosspoint-westbury.co.uk or leave a message with your name and contact number on 01373 824330.
“The ‘money mentors’ based at Crosspoint will work with you throughout the debt resolution process. They will begin by looking at your income and make sure you are claiming everything you are entitled to. They will look at your expenditure and where possible assist you in making savings. They will help and advise with budgeting to ensure you make the best of the income you have.”
Crosspoint can be found in the Market Place. For more information on the service, visit www.crosspoint-westbury.co.uk/ debt-advice
