Calling all Westbury residents who’d like to be more active and find out what their local leisure group has to offer.
Places for People Leisure, who run Westbury Swimming Pool and Leighton Recreation Centre plus several local leisure centres are opening their doors and offering free taster sessions across the weekend of Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th April.
PfP contract manager for Wiltshire, Keith Love-Evans said, “Places for People Leisure are extremely passionate about helping the local communities of Wiltshire stay physically active and emotionally engaged in fitness, sport and well-being.
“This weekend is an opportunity for Wiltshire residents to try a range of activities across the facilities, whether it’s a pool party at Bradford Pool, Ten Pin Bowling at Christie Miller or free exercise classes or personal training at selected sites across West Wiltshire, drop in to No Strings Badminton or a Free Swim, Family Swim or female only This Girl Can Swim sessions and more. There is something for everyone – see your local website for a full list of events on offer across all leisure centres.”
Cas Loudon, donor relationship coordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, said, “We’d like to thank Places for People Leisure for supporting Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Donations raised will help keep our helicopter flying and saving lives.”
The sessions on offer are free but there is a suggested donation of £1 per adult, which will be donated to Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a registered charity which relies almost entirely on public donations to keep flying and does not receive central government funding.
