FOLLOWING the success of her daytime free upcycling workshops, Jane Russ has organised four more free workshops in the evenings, starting on Thursday 4th July at 7pm in the Reading Room at The Laverton.
Jane is a keen upcycler and has been making her own clothes for many decades. She wants to bring the activity to more people, helping them to reuse or repurpose a garment if it is too small or too old.
She is hoping that these workshops will help in the attempt to stop fast fashion, where most clothes are ending up in landfill sites.
The four workshops are weekly, starting on Thursday 4th July then again on the 11th, 18th and 25th July from 7pm. You are welcome to bring along old clothes that you wish to upcycle.
Jane will have her sewing machine set up at the workshop for use, but you are welcome to bring your own and it can be Pac tested, at no cost, for use in the Laverton.
If you are interested in attending the free workshops, email Jane on Jane.Russ@westburytowncouncil. gov.uk.
