A family fun day is being held at the White Horse Country Park next Thursday, 20th April, to launch a new arts and crafts programme for young children in Westbury.
The Creation Station is part of a national company running creative workshops for young children and parents.
Local woman Emma Dove will be starting the weekly term-time programme at Westbury Leigh Community Hall, as well as in Warminster and Trowbridge. Emma is mum to a lively one year-old and has recently left a career in the corporate office of Wiltshire Council to pursue a fulfilling and inspiring venture working with children and families.
Emma said, “It has become a passion of mine to reach out to mums and children to make the early years a wonderful experience. There is something magical about creating with your young child, especially without the mess and stress they would make at home!”
The weekly classes are underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage in England and includes a range of activities including modelling, painting, drawing, moulding, gluing, and singing movement and problem solving.
Classes include ‘Baby Discover’ for 5 months to 15 months and ‘Little Explorers’ for 15 months to 5 years.
The fun day will run from 10am to 3pm on Thursday 20th April. Entry will be free and there will be chargeable activities.
