THE Philomel Singers, with Staverton School Choir and guest soloists, are holding a fundraising concert at Edington Priory on Saturday 15th December at 7.30pm, in aid of Evie’s Gift.
The award-winning choir is returning to Edington to perform in aid of Evie’s Gift, a local charity born out of the tragedy of the loss of Evie, who died aged 13, taken by an aggressive brain tumour.
Her parents set up the charity with two main aims; to give immediate financial assistance to parents who children have been admitted to hospital with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions; also to fund research into the rare brain cancer that took Evie from them too soon. More information about Evie’s Gift and how to help with their fund-raising can be found at eviesgift.org.uk.
The Philomel singers with their guests will be presenting an exciting and varied evening of musical entertainment. Over £37,000 has been raised by the choir for charities, and they are looking forward to welcoming a full church audience at the concert.
There will be a retiring collection and all profits raised during the evening will be given to Evie’s Gift.
