SUPPORT a local charity and have fun at the races as the Nick Jones Foundation for Bereaved Children hosts ‘The Races’ at The Labour Club on Saturday 14th September.
Organisers say, “Have fun with your family and friends and ‘gallop’ down to Westbury Labour Club – Paragon Hall where the ‘Tote’ opens at 7.15pm with the first race at 7.30pm.
“Grab a ticket and come along, you’ll have loads of chances to win big! And all of the proceeds go to The Nick Jones Foundation.
“For just £5 entry you get access to the event featuring six nail-biting races, the bar, and a light buffet.
“You can purchase a horse to win – even bigger if it does well, and every race can be sponsored by a local company for just £100.”
Tickets available by contacting the Facebook page or speaking to a committee member.
The Nick Jones Foundation is passionate about providing support for those children affected by bereavement.
This could take the form of subsidised counselling, events and activities for bereaved children or funding organisations already providing these services.
In order to qualify, your application must be made by someone in a professional position. For example, a school/teacher, a doctor, a social worker.
This supporter should contact the charity via their website and request an application form.
Once completed, the charity trustees will assess the case and respond with if/how they can offer support. They are also happy to receive grant requests from organisations, school, doctors’ surgeries etc, who provide services to bereaved children already.
