TWO instructors from BODYbasics are doing their best to keep the people of Westbury fit on a Wednesday with a choice of three classes at Leigh Park Community Centre.
“The first is Zumba Gold on Wednesdays 11.30am-12.30pm,” said Gina Fry, one of the instructors. “This is a low impact dance fitness class that is fun and easy to follow, suitable for all. With music from around the world and across the decades, this class makes everyone leave with a smile. There’s no floorwork so the whole class is standing and dancing.
“The second class of the day is FIT4LIFE, 1pm-2pm (from September) which is a mostly seated activity class, suitable for those who are less active, or working their way back to being more active. Focusing on mobility, balance, flexibility and strength improvement, this class is very sociable and a great way to meet new people.
“The last offering is Zumba, 6-7pm, the original dance fitness party class. An energetic blast of fun, still very easy to follow moves to music from all around the world, this traditionally taught Zumba class makes you feel liberated, exhilarated, and lets you forget the world for that one hour of the day. Each song has its own choreography with easy steps so you won’t be left out, you’ll feel ALIVE!”
Gina added, “We firmly believe fitness has to be fun, or people won’t want to stick to it, so fun is at the forefront of every class we teach. Aside from that we are also highly qualified in our field, with L3 qualifications in Teaching Older Adults, Chair Based Exercise and Parkinson’s Pro fitness, allowing us to reach and help even more people with our sessions. “
