IF you like cakes, why not hold a bake sale and raise funds to help Wiltshire Air Ambulance to keep flying and saving lives?
Bake Off for Lift Off is once again the charity’s theme for National Air Ambulance Week (10th-16th September).
Individuals, groups, schools, colleges and businesses can all get involved in the cake-related fun by holding their own bake sales, bake off competitions, tea parties or teddy bears’ picnics.
Kenresa Stratford fund-raising & events coordinator at Wiltshire Air Ambulance said, “We’re hoping that this year’s Air Ambulance Week will be bigger and better than ever as we Bake Off for Lift Off once again! We would like to encourage as many schools, colleges, businesses, groups and individuals as possible to take part and get their bake on.
“The fundraising options are limitless; from holding bake sales, to bake offs and even getting involved in a custard pie fight. There are a lot of fun ways to get involved and the funds raised will help us to continue saving lives. We’ve saved countless lives in the 28 years that we have been flying, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. We have to raise £3.25million a year to keep our lifesaving service operational and every penny raised during Bake Off for Lift Off will help to keep our helicopter and crew flying and saving lives. If you’d like to get your bake on, please get in touch and we can send you everything you need to get started.”
Bake Off for Lift Off is sponsored by Haydens Bakery, based in Devizes.
Kenresa added, “We are delighted to receive the support of Haydens Bakery and would like to thank them for supporting Bake Off for Lift Off by donating cakes for bake sales during Air Ambulance Week.”
