WESTBURY Ladies Rugby Club are inviting you to give rugby a ‘try’ on Wednesday 5th June from 7pm- 8.30pm with a free open evening event.
The team say, “Are you looking for a fun hobby where you can meet new friends? Have you ever thought about taking up a team sport? Why not give rugby with Westbury Ladies a try?
“We are a really friendly ladies team that trains and plays underneath the Westbury White Horse based at the White Horse Country Park.
“We are holding an open evening where you can come and meet us and play some fun rugby games. It will be fun, free and there will be cake!
“Rugby is an inclusive sport. No matter your age, shape, fitness or skill level there is a place for you on our team. This evening is all about you finding out a bit more about us, and what training and playing for Westbury Ladies could be like.
“Just bring your trainers and wear sports clothes and perhaps a water bottle too. Some of the games you will be familiar with. We play netball and rounders with rugby balls and we will do some fun team challenges. We will probably end up playing a game of touch rugby. Don’t worry, this is not a contact game and is a great way of putting the skills you have learnt into practice. Afterwards we will head into our club house and bar and have some drinks and eat cake.”
